Images used - important licensing information

We've taken care of the licensing for the royalty-free photographs used in this template. Please note that you aren't allowed to take an image from this template and use it for other purposes. If you wish to purchase your own license for the version to get the larger image or to use the image in other marketing material, please go to the following sources:

Editing the include pages

There are several include pages used in this template for your editing convenience. By opening include pages, you can make edits, save, and FrontPage will automatically update all the pages in your web site.

Include pages are used for:

  • Top left image: includes/picture.htm
  • Logo area: includes/logo.htm
  • Home/Contact buttons: includes/home-contact.htm
  • Copyright area: includes/copyright.htm

Top Left Image

If you don't want the top left image, you may delete it! Open includes/picture.htm and delete the image, then save. This will update all pages in your web site.

Logo area

To add your logo, open the includes/logo.htm page to make edits to the logo area. The included logo is an image which you may delete and replace with your own logo image.

This template works best with logos that have a black background. If your logo doesn't have a black background, you may wish to create a logo image that is a white rectangle with your logo on top:

Try to make the logo rectangle no more than 200 pixels wide. This will allow your logo image to be about the same size as the right column, and the layout and design will be preserved.

Home Page Image

We've included a blank jpeg (as well as the Photoshop file) for the picture on the home page. You may open the blank jpeg in your preferred image editor and overlay it with your text.

Home/Contact Buttons

The Home and Contact buttons in the right columns are custom-designed images. You will not be able to change the text or create more buttons unless you have Photoshop. The Photoshop files are included with this template.

Adding New Pages to Your Web/Link bars

Open a page that has the layout the way you want it, then go to File/Save As. Save the page under a new name - be sure to change the page title as well! Then, go to Navigation View and drag your new page into the navigation structure.

Deleting Pages from Your Web

Right-click on the pages you wish to delete in your Folder List, in Folder View, or in Navigation View, then select "Delete."

Renaming Pages / Changing Page Title

If you would like to use an existing page but want to rename it, you may easily do this in Navigation View. Right-click on the page title and choose "Rename" to rename your file. This will also change the Page Title on the pages. You will then want to change the file name (ends in ".htm") to a similar name as your page title, without spaces or special characters.

Changing Layout

We have formatted the tables so that this page will look good and resize in Netscape and Internet Explorer. If you wish to change the layout, please follow these instructions.

About this page layout
This page has been very carefully formatted with different nesting tables so that it resizes both vertically and horizontally. Do not drag on any table lines - you may "freeze" the page so that it no longer resizes properly.

Adding other columns to the page
We suggest that you do not directly add columns to this layout, as you may accidentally "freeze" the page so that it no longer resizes. Instead, delete the page template content, then go to Table/Insert/Table to add your own table in the center area. You may click within a table and go to Table > Select > Table to get a better idea of the table structure of this page.

FrontPage 2000

If you're using FrontPage 2000, the link bars with vertical lines separating the text links will look like [Xxxxx] [Xxxxx] [Xxxxx]. You may either choose to use the default text style navigation bars, or edit the "includes/menu.htm" and "includes/copyright.htm" and manually type out links.

Can I change the colors?

You will need an image editor (such as Photoshop) to change all the colors, as some of the colors in this layout are defined by graphics.

You may easily change the text colors by modifying the style sheet.
